How to Use Hisaab EZ
Manage your business finances in 3 simple steps. No accounting degree required.
One-Time Setup
-
Configure Settings
Go to Settings to enter your company name and currency. This ensures your invoices look professional.
-
Add Your Bank Accounts
Go to Banking and add your business bank accounts or "Cash on Hand". This mimics your real-world wallet.
Day-to-Day Records
Money Coming In (Sales)
Use Invoices when you sell something.
- Create an Invoice to track who owes you money.
- When they pay you, open the Invoice and click Record Payment.
- This automatically increases your cash balance.
Money Going Out (Expenses)
Use Bills for supplier costs or rent.
- Enter a Bill when you receive one from a vendor.
- When you pay it, click Record Payment
- This deducts money from your bank/cash account.
Inventory: How It Works
- Go to Inventory first and create categories/items with unit cost and opening stock (if available).
- When buying stock, use Bills and mark line items as inventory. This increases stock value and quantity.
- When selling inventory, use Invoices with inventory items. Stock is reduced and COGS is posted automatically.
- Use Stock Adjustment for damaged/lost/manual corrections so physical stock and system stock stay aligned.
- Review the Inventory page summary regularly for quantity on hand, value, and low-stock decisions.
Review & Protect
Go to the Dashboard or Financial Reports to see:
- Income Statement: Did I make a profit?
- AR Aging: Who still owes me money?
- Cash Flow: Do I have enough cash?
